A character study episode where a promotion forces Picard to become a Crewman to a Species 8472, testing his moral fortitude (and, more importantly, allowing Patrick stewart to show off his theatre acting chops). Eventually he is rescued by Riker, but not before giving an impassioned speech on the ethical questions posed by being rendered unconcious.
